welcome to my blog
As an older student, I feel that i am a bit removed from various technologies that exist. My schooling did consist of much computer work. I didn't have access to a computer lab until 7th grade and even that was pretty much just to learn how to type. I have gained a little knowledge over the years and am looking forward to learning alot about what technology has to offer and how i can effectively use it to help my students learn and reach their full potential. Looking at the list of software we have to teach threw me for a loop. I have never heard of any of those except google earth but im sure they are goig to be useful

I hope you can use technology effectively and I wish inspector gadget begins again :) Perhaps we can realize new kind of technology in this cartoon especially teleportation.
ReplyDeleteYou will be surprised at how much you learn and how the same skills can be used in many of the different applications.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I have not heard of most of the software either. I am looking forward to being able to incorportate them in the classroom after learning about them. Teenagers are always on the brink of new technology. Im 22 and I had 15 year olds showing me all the things my phone could do that I didn't know about.
ReplyDeleteI am also an "older student", I can still remember in 5th grade when we were learning how to use DOS programs! When I first took this class back in the fall, seeing the list of software programs made me reevaluate the term panic! It's true though that everything we will learn (or relearn) in this class is useful. Whatever you take away you can use in some way in the classroom!
